Well, here we are again with another top 10. This time, it's the top 10 Animated Canadian Film list. These are basically my opinions and if you like any of these as well, good for you.

10. The Care Bears Movie Series. Growing up with the Care Bears series in the 80s and 90s, I quite enjoyed the films. However, there were some parts that tend to drag in each of them, especially the first two. It does tend to have flaws here and there, but that's part of the charm and I won't ever let go of that fact.

9. Here Comes the Littles. I know what you're all thinking: This is a TV Movie. Well, when I was little, the theaters I use to go to sometimes played this film on the theater and I was lucky enough to catch it. Anyway, the story is more like a prequel to the Littles series. And I felt this film did some good here. It may not be one of the best, but it served as a good pilot to a cute series inspired by the Borrowers. Arritery, that's another story for another time.

8. My Little Pony: The Movie. Yep, saw this as a child as well. To me, it was the first thing I saw from My Little Pony and as a child, I grew fond of it. Sure there was some flaws here and there, but I tend to enjoy them regardless.

7. Babar: King of the Elephants. Now this film, I saw at 2000. It's a retelling of the Babar books showing how Babar came to be king. The animation felt like it was still the Babar I knew growing up, just done in a new experience. Especially with Chris Wiggins as Cornelius once more. Although I do miss Pompadour from the TV series. Anyway, this Babar was made with the love and care it had back then and I recommend it to anyone who grew up with Babar.

6. Heavy Metal. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, "this should've been number 1" on the list. To be honest, I didn't feel like it was a number 1 movie. There were so many plots in so little time and heck, even the sexy scenes can be a bit...well exotic. In my opinion, it's great for animation lovers, especially with the detail they had to go through. And Squidward fans? Roger Bumpass was in this as both the robot that malfunctioned and Hanover Fist in a most shocking and probably funny segment each.

5. Pippi Longstocking. I watched New Adventures of Pippi first before checking this out. And I adore her here. Sure she can be weird, but that's what makes Pippi pretty cool. No one else had ever thought about or talk about Pippi anymore and I thought I'd talk about her a bit here. She's an amazing protagonist and can be a fun ride if you give the movie and the short TV shows a chance.

4. Babar: the Movie. Before the reboot movie, this was what I loved about Babar. Babar did what he knew was right and despite the troubles he and Celeste had to go through to save Celeste's parents, I enjoyed every moment of this. I feel that Babar and the cast were well handled here as was the songs.

3. The Nutcracker Prince. You expected this to be number 1, huh? Well sadly, it's not because it was beaten by two others. I did a review on this earlier and if there's anything I need to say more, it's that this film needs the love it deserves as much as any other film.

2. The Equestria Girls Series. I'm gonna probably get some hate for this, but the reason for this movie series not being number 1 is simple: There's not enough development of the cast. Still, despite that, I enjoyed the Equestria Girls movies and the more I continued following, the more I wanted to see the lore behind the Equestria High world. And Sunset does pretty cool as a main character after her earned redemption. Plus she sings great as well.

and before I get to number 1, I like to throw in some honorable mentions here.

Lion of Oz. Though I may get hate for this, I didn't find this film to be that bad. Plus Tim Curry partially saved this movie from bombing in my eyes.

Casper's Haunted Christmas. One of the reasons I enjoyed this was because it involves another Casper character, Spooky. He's pretty funny sometimes when the plot is done right. Plus it's way better than the Casper going to school movie I rather not talk about.

Barbie and the Nutcracker. After looking at this, I thought it was a bit enjoyable. It may not be one of my top 10 favorites here or the Nutcracker adaptions, but I think it's pretty enjoyable.

and with all that out of the way, the number 1 Animated Canadian Film is...

1. Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show! Yes, Ed Edd n Eddy fans, I felt this was the number 1 Animated Canadian film of all time in my eyes. Why? Because this movie gets me hooked up to the entire cast and the story behind it. Spoilers ahead for those that did not watch. The Eds' latest scam gets most of the Cul-De-Sac wanting to kill the Eds and the Eds themselves make their escape, making a long journey to search for Eddy's brother. Plus the Kankers get involved in this. And when the climax comes with Eddy's brother appearing, it shows us, in those few minutes, how horrible Eddy's life must've been under his care. It made me feel sorry for him. After all that is done, the Eds finally get accepted by the other kids, minus Jonny who arrives too late and gets beaten up, prompting him & Plank to start becoming villains. And to be honest, I hope the sequel would continue with Jonny as the main antagonist. It could be interesting.

Anyhow, that's my top picks. If you have any favorite animated films of Canada like mine, let me know. As for stuff from the National Filmboard of Canada? That will be another meme for another time.
