Roxladdin 2

The next day, at Toonatopia, a blonde haired boy ran across the rooftops, holding a loaf of bread with another man with red spikey hair holding half of a bread. As they ran, the two heard someone shouting.

Voice: Stop thief!

Man: Geez, Roxas, they're after us!

Roxas: You think, Axel?

The two turned and saw three figures approaching. The leader of the group was Seifer, the chief of the Sultan's guards and the other figures, dressed as guards, were his men. The blonde boy looked at his bread.

Roxas: Man, all this for a loaf of bread?

Axel: Mine's only half.

The two then jumped off the roof and landed on two ropes with clothing hanging out to dry. The two swung, collecting clothing doing so. Before they could get to the end, a woman saw them, screamed and closed the shutters to a window at the end of the rope. The duo slammed into them and fell to the streets, their fall broken by numerous awnings and the clothes that fell on them. They got up and look at the bread with triumph.

Seifer: (from above) There they are!

Guard 1: They won't escape again that easily!

Roxas: (smirks) Easily?

They looked at the women, laughing at them.

Seifer: (glaring) You two, over that way, and you, with me. We'll find him!

The two pulled sheets over themselves and wrapped themselves in disguises, rushing over the Squirrel Scouts.

Axel: Morning ladies.

Patsy: (giggling) In trouble early today, boys?

Roxas: Us? No way! You only get in trouble if you get caught.

That was when Seifer appeared out of nowhere, grabbing them both and removing their disguises.

Seifer: (glares) Gotcha!

Both: We're in trouble!

Seifer: And this time-

THen, a fox demon child pushed Seifer's hat over his head, blinding him and forcing him to let Roxas and Axel go. The two smiled as the kid laughed.

Roxas: Thanks, Shippo.

Shippo: Don't mention it.

Axel: (looks) Let's leave now!

The trio began to make their escape. Then, one of the guards appeared and tried to hit them, and as he did, Roxas began to sing.

Roxas: (singing) Gotta keep...one jump ahead of the breadline
One swing ahead of the sword

Shippo managed to dodge him as Axel used the distraction to pull the guard's pants down. The guard angrily swiped at the three, but he only managed to destroy a fish barrel, causing fish to fall out.

Roxas: (singing) I steal only what I can't afford
That's everything!

The three ran off as the guard pulled a fish over his body, thinking they were pants and hopped after them.

Axel: (singing) One jump ahead of the lawmen
That's all, and that's no joke
These guys don't appreciate I'm broke!

The group ran up a bunch of barrels and knocked one down onto the guards, knocking them all down.

Guards: (one at a time/singing) Riffraff! Street rat!
Scoundrel! Take that!

They threw a bunch of weapons as the three dodged them quickly and were at the top of the platform.

Axel: (singing) Just a little snack, guys!

The guards angrily shook the platform in hope to knock them down.

Guards: (singing) Rip him open, take it back guys!

Roxas: (singing) I can take a hint, gotta face the facts

The three fell off the platform as in on purpose. But it turned out that Shippo was hanging to a pole nearby as he grabbed them and made like acrobats.

Both: (singing) You're our only friend, Shippo!

The three ended up in a girls' harlem. The girls, Starfire, Raven, and Terra were there as they sung.

Girls: Who?!?
(singing) Oh, it's sad Roxas's hit the bottom
He's become a one-man rise in crime

Shippo, smiled as he saw some snacks nearby and ate them greedily. His mouth looked humongus while the girls, swirls by Starfire, was knocked into the den mother, Duchess.

Duchess: (annoyed/singing) I'd blame parents, except he hasn't got 'em!

Roxas: (singing) Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat
Tell you all about it when I got the time!

Raven sighed in annoyance and pushed them out the window, making their exit.

Axel: (singing) One jump ahead of the slowpokes
One skip ahead of my doom

Outside, a muscular man, Captain Hero was flexing before the crowd as Seifer and his men ran by. Unknown to everyone, Roxas, Axel, and Shippo were hiding behind him matching his moves, but they made a mistake and were revealed.

Roxas: (singing) Next time gonna use a nom de plume.

Seifer: (spots them) There they are!

Roxas: (singing) One jump ahead of the hitmen
One hit ahead of the flock
I think I'll take a stroll around the block.

During the chase, they went through a bunch of sheep while being chased by the guards. When they got out, they jumped over a pig on spikes, Spanky Ham. The other guards jumped over, but the last one, a fat one, tripped and landed on him, making him scream. Later, Shippo was trying on a bunch of jewelery until he was discovered.

Cid: (singing) Stop, thief! (grabs Shippo) Vandal!

Axel: (grabbing him) Shippo!

He grabbed the fox demon and ran off, scattering a necklace.

Murial: (singing) Scandal!

Soon, the trio found themselves by a door surrounded by the guards.

Both: (singing) Let's not be too hasty

The door opened as the Queen Bean came out and hugged the two big boys, much to theirs and everyone else's disgust.

Queen Bean: (singing) Still I think he's rather tasty

They managed to get away and then put their arms around one of the guards like buddies.

Roxas: (singing) Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat
Otherwise we'd get along!

Guards: Wrong!

They pounced on Roxas, Axel, and Shippo, making a fighting dust cloud. But when it cleared, the trio escaped. Though not for long as Seifer spotted three barrels trying to sneak away.

Seifer: Get them!

They ditched their disguises. Later, the three came across a fire pit, which they managed to jump over. The guards ran across the coals, hopping up and down in pain doing so. Soon, they passed a man swallowing a sword, which Shippo grabbed, making him choke a little. The boy demon prepared as he made his karate moves.

Shippo: Let see them come after us now!

They arrived and stopped when Shippo was making his moves.

Guard: (trembling) He's got a sword!

Seifer: (glares) You idiots! (holds his sword) We all got swords!

They realized, then took out their swords, making Shippo nervously chuckle and place the sword down. Then he ran off. The trio were soon once again surrounded with guards, running left and right. Of course, they saw the Blue Racer performing as a rope trick nearby and the three climbed up the snake, which ended up with the guards crashing nearby. Soon, they continued running from the pursuing guards.

Roxas: (singing) One jumpahead of the hoofbeats!

Crowd: (singing) Vandal!

Axel: (singing) One hop ahead of the hump!

Crowd: (singing) Girly boy!

Roxas: (singing) One trick ahead of disaster

Crowd: (singing) Scoundrel!

Axel: (singing) They're quick--but I'm much faster

Crowd: (singing) Take that, oy!

The chase ended with them being confronted in a room above a staircase. With a smirk, the three grabbed a rug nearby.

Both: (singing) Here goes, better throw my hand in
Wish me happy landin'
All I gotta do is jump!

They quickly jumped out the window with the rug. The guards jumped after them, but they ended up falling. Their landing was broken by a bunch of manure being sold by dungbeetles. The trio, meanwhile, as they saw a brown haired smiling boy, had used the rug to float down gently like a parachute to land safely near him at a nearby alley. Once there, they high-fived each other.

Roxas: Great work, huh Sora?

Sora: Victory is ours, guys!

Axel: Yeah...since you got the first half.

The blonde boy broke the bread as he spoke.

Roxas: Guys, dinner is served.

They were about to eat, but then Roxas and Sora noticed two children digging through the trash, looking for food.

Yuna: I hate being poor.

Tidus: Yeah, there's mostly never anything to eat over here. (looks at them) What?

Roxas and Sora, both sighing, gave each other a sad look, then turned to Shippo, eating his cookie, and Axel, frowning at them.

Axel: No way, hose!

He continued eating as the two boys got up and walked over to Yuna and Tidus.

Roxas: Here.

Sora: Hope you like it.

Yuna: Hmm? You mean it?

Roxas: (nods) Yeah...you guys need it more than we do...we ain't hungry anyway.

The two looked surprised, but accepted the bread. They smiled as they walked off. Shippo and Axel, swallowing their bitten food, felt guilty as well. They then gave them the cookie and remaining bread.

Axel: We're done too.

Yuna: Thanks.

She petted Shippo, then ticked him.

Shippo: Ha-ha-ha! Cut it out!

The tickling stopped as a fanfare was heard. The four walked out of the alley to a crowd gathering outside. Roxas looked and saw a parade going on. He then saw a silver haired man riding on a horse.

Hayner: Lord Sephiroth! Must be on his way to the palace.

Pence: Another suitor for Namine. She probably would turn him down like all the others.

Roxas was startled as Tidus and Yuna ran into the street, not knowing they were running into him, scaring the horse.

Sephiroth: Filthy brats! Get out of the way!

He took out a whip and threw it to hit them. But Roxas jumped in the way and stopped him.

Roxas: Hey! If I were rich like you, I could buy manners!

Sephiroth: (glares) I'll give you manners!

He kicked Roxas into a mud puddle as the crowd laughed at the coughing boy as Axel, Sora, and Shippo helped him up.

Shippo: (glares) What a bully!

Sephiroth: (passing by) You are a worthless street rat! You were born a street rat, you'll die a street rat, and only your fleas will mourn you!

That made Roxas furious as he got up and rushed to him, but the castle doors closed behind the man and right in Roxas' face. He looked up furiously and uselessly.

Roxas: (glares) I'm not worthless. And I don't have fleas.

He sighed as Axel spoke.

Axel: Come on, let's go home.

Roxas: (nods) Yeah...let's go, guys.

Later that night, the four were on their way home.

Roxas: (singing sadly) Riffraff, street rat.
I don't buy that.
If only they'd look closer

The four got home. It was a mess, but at least it had a good view with a curtain covering it.

Roxas: (singing) Would they see a poor boy? No siree.

The three went to their made shift beds nearby and prepared to sleep as they pulled blankets over themselves.

Roxas: (singing) They'd find out, there's so much more to me.

He smiled and pulled the curtains opened as he saw a beautiful view of Toonatopia and its palace. Roxas sighed to the trio behind him.

Roxas: Man, guys, someday, things will turn around for us. We'll be rich, live in a palace, and never have anything to worry about at all.
